September 21 I'll buy myself a private island....Now that the government has made me an owner of AIG Insurance, all I have to do is sit back and wait for my share of the profits...
I think I'll take a corner office with a great view and a hunky assistant. I'm still thinking about what company car I want, and what my official title should be... My salary will be a heck of a lot less than the current management's.
That IS the way it works, right? They use MY money to bail out the company, making ME an owner, and entitled to any and all profits. Right? Right? September 15 Are we having fun yet?Trying to keep up with 8 people in the house is a lot harder than I expected. It's a good thing I enjoy doing laundry. I love cooking so that's no problem either.
My son who's hand is/was broken, had one of the pins poke through the skin. I called the Dr. and they replied with, "Well, I guess it's time to remove the pins." Sheesh, ya think?
He just had hernia surgery too. Might as well get everything over at once.
Gauge is doing great. I just have a hard time keeping up with an active (almost) 2yr old boy. It's amazing the things he can find and or get into that are dangerous! He comes by that naturally... I blame my brothers and sister!
I'm doing well, the kitties are doing well and growing. Now if I can get them to stop attacking my toes while I sleep...
Enjoy the videos, I hope they bring some laughter into your day. September 03 No frogs were harmed...I've had questions about, "Frog Eye" Salad. It's a sweet salad that is served in a lot of buffet places around here.
The normal recipe calls for making a pineapple sauce from scratch. Although it's good, I have found that the, easy recipe, tastes the same and is no where near as time consuming or involved. So, for your enjoyment, I am posting the, Quick and Easy version...
I don't always add coconut, and my kids don't like maraschino cherries, so I leave those out too.
Quick & Easy Frog's Eye SaladA delicious kind of salad made with mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, flaked coconut and whipped topping.
Ingredients
DirectionsCook pasta according to package directions; drain. Rinse with cold water to cool quickly; drain well. Drain juice from pineapple chunks, reserving 1/4 cup. In large bowl, add reserved juice, milk, sugar and pudding mix; beat with whisk or electric mixer until well blended, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add pasta to pudding mixture; stir gently. Let stand 10 minutes. Add crushed pineapple and tidbits, oranges, 2 cups whipped topping, marshmallows and coconut; mix gently and thoroughly. Cover; refrigerate until cold. Top with remaining whipping topping. September 01 Family Picnic. And then there were 4...We had a really nice family picnic on Saturday. It was a gorgeous old park in Boise with huge shade trees. The food and company made the day very enjoyable. I'm hoping you all have a great holiday weekend.
On the kitty front... we now have 2 more kittens... don't ask. lol
We are down a hamster. We had a nice little funeral for him.
I'm off to check out a few holiday sales. Help yourself to anything in the fridge. I think there's left over potato salad, "frog eye" salad, jello, chicken and dinner rolls. There's birthday cake for dessert (Amber, my son's girlfriend's birthday was yesterday.)
